THE REFUGE (Senior High) & IMPACT (Junior High) We
exist to guide students in knowing God intimately, to train them to
disciple others, and to reach people for Jesus Christ – and all this for
the Glory of God! We meet each Wednesday night (Refuge 8:00 to 9:30; IMPACT 7:00-8:00) to worship God through His Word, song, prayer, encouragement, and fellowship - and we do have fun and usually provide food. We have some wonderful adults who do a fantastic job working with our students. It is our desire to teach the whole counsel of God and to develop strong relationships with our students. We are not here to replace parents, but rather it is our goal to come along side parents and help them any way we can. While we are a part of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA), we are blessed to have students from many backgrounds with us. We enjoy this diversity. We love to have people visit our group. Students and parents are always welcome. We are far from perfect, but we are striving to become more like Jesus. We have different opportunities throughout the year to grow in Christ and to grow in love for one another. For the Refuge, these include - Rosebud Missions Trip, IMPACT (annual high school retreat in Des Moines), Elevate (ministry student training), 30 Hour Famine, Boy Feed Girl, Girl Feed Boy and more. For the Junior High students these include Blitz, Winter Blast, and much more.
