Pastor John Nett grew up in Davenport, Iowa and first trusted Jesus as his Savior as a young boy in Sunday School. He has served as the Senior Pastor at Grace since 2000 and loves preaching/teaching the Word of God, playing guitar, roasting coffee, losing at Tennis to Pastor Tim Olson and spending time with People.
Pastor John worked at our District Camp, Hidden Acres Christian Center, during his summers while a student at the University of Northern Iowa. The first Person he met at Hidden Acres would end up his wife 4 years later (the second person was Pastor Tim Olson!). John and Ivana were married in 1995 and have been blessed with three children, Anna, Jacob and Emma. Pastor John received training for his call to pastoral ministry at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, in Deerfield, Illinois.
Pastor Tim Olson grew up in Zaire, Africa where his parents served as EFCA Missionaries. He first trusted Jesus as a young boy. Tim has served as Youth Pastor at Grace since the summer of 2002 and loves teaching the Word of God and how to study it. Tim enjoys playing and teaching guitar, the Minnesota Vikings, beating Pastor John Nett on the Tennis court, and he loves spending time with his family.
Pastor Tim also worked at Hidden Acres Christian Center during summers while he was a student at Moody Bible Institute. He met his wife Lori at Hidden Acres and they were married in 1998. Tim and Lori have been blessed with four children, Benjamin, Elise, Jonathon and Elijah. Pastor Tim received training for pastoral ministry at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL.
